Grinchy

I think I have mentioned before that Rubie is very sensitive when it comes to watching anything on television. If Minnie Mouse spills juice, she cries real tears. There can be no violence or sadness at all (remember that time Goofy got his bootie stuck in a tuba? well, Rubie does). So, I was very surprised to find Rubie watching "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" by herself in the living room (Ramon went to take a shower). I just stood there waiting for the freak out, but instead, she just said, "That dog is silly," and then she said, "That snake is not nice." (the Grinch is very slithery). I told her that, no, the Grinch isn't nice, but he learns to be nice. We watched, and she ended up LOVING it. The first thing she said when she came home from school was, "I wanna watch Grinchy."

I told her to smile and look at me, but she wouldn't take her eyes off the TV...
