The Rest Of Our Trip

Jaden

Nathan

The Trinco family came over for Christmas, and little Landon just couldn't make it...

Grandma Myrna and Grandpa Mel...

Rubie has been waiting to turn four so that she could chew gum. First thing in the morning, she opened four packs of Trident (and she finished them all that day)...

chewing...

Santa brought the girls American Girl Dolls. Here is Ramon styling some hair...

For Rubie's birthday, we took the train into downtown Chicago and went to the American Girl Doll store for shopping and lunch. Please notice the gum in Rubie's mouth. She is so proud...

The lunch was really fun for the girls. The dolls had their own seats and cups, and all of the food was kid friendly...

Then we had a little party for Rubie back at home. Here she is opening another American Girl doll from Gramma Pam...

I hope your wishes come true, baby girl...

Trip to Chicago - Part 1

We went to visit my mom for her 60th birthday. It was cold. Here is Rubie once we landed in Chicago...

Looking at the snow outside the airplane window...

See? cold. Even the bird feeder had icicles...

Here is the snowman Ramon built. (Can you tell it's only 4 inches tall?)...

It snowed and snowed, and Rubie loved it. She rolled in it, laid in it, ate it, and ate it some more...

Thanks for lending me the hat, mom. I found mine on my nightstand when I got home.

Part 2 coming soon...

Ice Skating in Downtown Riverside

Today we went ice skating near the Mission Inn in Riverside with some friends. It was Rubie's first time, and she had so much fun! I was surprised at how fearless she was.

The Karr family was there, though Victoria was so fast that all of my pictures of her came out blurry...

Justice loved it, too! (side note: Rubie said that she can't kiss me because she is saving all of her kisses for daddy and Justice. And, she wants to marry Justice).

We will definitely be going back every year - so fun!

Gingerbread Cookies - 2009

Yesterday was a rough school day for Rubie. She brought home a note from her teacher about not following directions in chapel. One of her consequences was to write an apology letter to her teacher...

We were supposed to decorate gingerbread cookies yesterday, but because of the chapel incident, we had to wait until today.

By looking at Rubie's hair when I picked her up, one would think today was just as bad - but no note (couldn't have been that bad).

Yes, she is licking the cookie...

Seriously, her hair did not look like this when she went to school...
