Rubie Funnies

Today, Rubie went into my closet and took out my biggest pair of high heels and said, "These are Uncle Scotts." Scott, I never knew.

When she saw that it was drizzling outside, she said, "Mama, its dripping."

Here is a picture of her first thing in the morning (nice bed head), with all of her Seuss animals in the stroller...

Paint and Poop

This is the face you get when you let your 2 year old use water colors...

This is the face you get when you tell your 2 year old that she cannot help her dad pick up dog poop...

In ten years, when it is her job to pick up dog poop - I'll bring this picture back out to remind her how much she wanted that job.

Grammy's Curtains

Rubie's Imagination

If you ever have the chance to sit and watch your two year old play, you should. It is so interesting to see what goes through their minds.

Here is Rubie with her animals in her little play house. She is telling them to smile for the camera....

She thinks that she and all of the animals are smiling for the camera...

Now she is asking them, "wanna eat? - Sneetch, wanna eat Chinese food? Blue Fish, wanna eat Chinese food?"

Here, Yertle is the lucky chosen one to eat Chinese food with Rubie...

flower girl

Wanna add instant stress to your life? Just say yes when asked if your 2 year old would like to be a flower girl. Especially when said wedding is scheduled for 11:00, and nap time is 12:00. The actual walk down the isle went okay - I don't have any pictures of that (I was too stressed out), but here is the sitting through the ceremony. Rubie did a pretty good job of sitting quietly (if you don't count the flying snack container lid into the isle)...

Shoes had to come off, so the walk back down the isle had no shoes and no head piece (which was gone immediately after the walk down the isle)...

Not one rose petal left the basket coming down the isle, but they all got dumped during the ceremony...

Yes, that is the flower basket around her neck (she takes her job as flower girl very seriously)...

Here is Great Grandpa smiling at Rubie...

And here are a few of the actual bride and groom.....

Congratulations Joann and Dennis!

Next adventure - flying to Chicago (what was I thinking?)
