We are seriously the luckiest people in the world. We get to watch this amazing little person grow. People are usually telling me that she is lucky, but she isn't the lucky one. She had the worst start in life one can have, she isn't lucky. We are lucky. We get to watch that BIG personality develop, and see her laugh everyday. All of the infertility, medications, shots in the stomach that didn't work - it was all worth it. Without all of that, I wouldn't have followed the path to Rubie. My friend Kelly told me to go to the adoption meeting. She told me to see what all of my options were before deciding on a path. From the first orientation, it felt right, and it led us to Rubie. We are lucky...

I'm lucky, too. I get to be her auntie.
Very inspiring words...
You three are all so very lucky. What separates you and Ramon from Rubie is that you two get to realize just how blessed you are.
Good things happen to good people, all three good peoples. Love Daddy
I know exactly where you are coming from. When Bill and I decided to adopt, it was not altruistic. We wanted to be parents and also had fertility problems, so we took the adoption route. Our little girl is such a gift. Adoption wasn't "plan B" or second best. It was simply the way that "Miss H" was meant to come to us.
