I realize that these are all pretty much the same picture

and that if you look at her face closely, you can tell that she is out of focus(in every picture). What can I say, I am a beginner...





Today, Rubie told me that she wasn't my friend. Does that really start this early? She is only 2 1/2, don't I have a few more years until that nonsense begins? I told her that she hurt my feelings, so she came over and said, "I your friend, mama."

Let's Review, Shall We?

Let's go back in time and review the ways in which Rubie sucks at hiding. No really, she is a smart girl in many ways - but cannot grasp the concept of hiding. The funny part is that it is one of her favorite things to do. Here she is a few months ago hiding with daddy (you can see where some of the blame needs to be placed)...

Once again, her father is involved in the poor hiding ability...

Today, Rubie and I were hiding together - she gets so excited that she cannot hold still at all, and makes all sorts of noises...

And when she is found, she will not accept it - she thinks we can't see her here...

Rubie is much better at baking - she should give up on hiding all together (here she is helping me make cookies)...

Measles, Mumps, Rubella (aren't nicknames fun?)...

Halloween Already?

I just got Rubie's costume in the mail - so I had to "try it on her," right? Expect to see more of this costume, a lot more...

Marker?

So, Rubie thinks that we gave her a marker........it is really a twistable crayon. She honestly thinks that we would give her a marker to walk around the house with? That's crazy talk. She is in love with her "marker," and makes sure she carries it around everyday.

And for those of you keeping up with the shoe pictures, she actually put these on the correct feet tonight, so I had to take a picture...

Rubie wears these shoes more than I do...

Polish

Rubie wanted me to polish her fingernails today. Up until now, we have only polished her toes - but I agreed. So, we sat out front and polished her little fingernails with 60 second nail polish (to dry quickly)...





Another interesting tidbit of information - Rubie informed me that her birthday is on Wednesday and Thursday of this week, and that we need to get her a cupcake.

(I'm not so sure about the quality of 60 second nailpolish - as it came off in chunks in the tub 2 hours later)
