Easter Bunny

We went to see the Easter Bunny today. It went much better than expected. For Christmas, I bribed, begged, and pleaded for her to smile for Santa. After it was over, I showed her the picture, and she said, "That girl didn't smile, mama." Let's revisit it...


Here is her much improved Easter picture...

After it was over, the Easter Bunny gave her a lollipop. She had already had one that day because we had to pick up some sugar free candy for her grandpa's birthday, and I bought her one at the candy store. That makes TWO. Rubie is never this lucky. This was our conversation right after the Easter Bunny:

Rubie: Lollipops are not good for your body.
Mommy: Nope. That's why we only have them once in a while.
Rubie: You can only have one.
Mommy: But you had TWO.
Rubie: I know, because I am a lucky star.

Waiting

Yesterday, Rubie insisted on waiting outside for Uncle Scott, Jaden, Jaden, and Catie. I brought along my camera (of course) to torture, I mean capture, the moment. Here she is sitting in the driveway waiting...


She got bored, so she picked a weed, I mean flower...



"One two, buckle my shoe."

Then daddy came out to wait with us...

Uncle Scott, Catie, Jaden, and Jaden came for a visit.

Sorry Nathan, Rubie thinks your name is Jaden as well (even though you gave her ice cream and carried her around). Let's start with Catie - poor Catie, when she comes for a visit, Rubie will not leave her alone. She loves her cousin so much! She is like Catie's personal stalker. Little Catie was trying to poop, and Rubie is sitting on the stool in the bathroom just talking away. Catie is such a good sport about it...

First Swim of 2009

It wasn't really hot enough yet in my opinion, but Rubie LOVES water - ocean, pool, bath, it doesn't matter, she will jump in. Her dad set this up for her and she had the best time. Thanks to Gramma Pam for getting her the cute babysuit...
