Scissors

Silly girl...


Rubie likes to help us make grocery lists. Here she is using her play dough scissors to cut up her grocery list.

Pay close attention to the cutting skills (holding the blades is highly effective)...

Notice the pine cone next to her. She brought this in as a present for me, but then took it back and decided to cut it up. So, the only logical choice was to get her play dough scissors. I have no idea where she came up with this idea, but whenever she wants to open something or cut something, she runs to get them. Also, her grocery lists are very detailed...

Fountain

Rubie and I went to Victoria Gardens to get out of the house. We weren't planning on going in the fountain, but it was hot, and why the eff not? Things started out well enough...

She was very excited...

She even stopped to pose for a picture (wow)...

And then this happened...

This was her reaction right after...

And because she didn't want to get out of the fountain, she continued to play - but like this...

One would think it would be hard to enjoy the water with your eyes closed, but she seemed to have fun. Of course we didn't have a towel, so I stripped her down and took her home half naked (yep, I'm one of those moms).

My Parents

Here are my parents. I'm guessing they are at some sort of wedding - don't they look nice? Well, my mom looks beautiful, dad sorta looks like......a used car salesman, like he drives an El Camino but calls it a "truck."

Hocus Pocus

If you ask Rubie what the magic words are, that is what she will say - hocus pocus. She learned those words on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

It is hard to believe that a few hours earlier, her hair was straight. It slowly curled back up within a few hours...

Flat Iron

I have been waiting to take my flat iron to Rubie's hair, and today was the day. When I finished and she looked in the mirror, she said, "Auntie Savie?" Even when flat ironing her hair it still isn't straight.
